The hidden serenity of Sa Caleta, Ibiza

Sa Caleta Cove, Ibiza

When we discovered this secret spot of serenity on a recent photoshoot with the help of our photographer Maria Simon, we really felt as though we’d walked into a hidden haven that had been untouched for decades.

We made our way down the rocky dirt track to find a stunning view of the sparkling sea.  Spanning across each side of us is a horseshoe of rustic fishermen sheds shaded by the fragrant backdrop of ancient pine trees. Originally created by the Phoenicians and declared a World Heritage site, Sa Caleta is far from forgotten. Fishermen still dock their boats here, families visit to sample the trawl cooked on makeshift barbecues and local cats have made it their home

The only reminder of the Ibiza buzz is seeing the aeroplanes land across the sea, but if you fancy a dip back into it, Blue Marlin beach club is just moments away.
